About Us
|
The St. Augustine Cruisers Car Club (SAC), a family-oriented organization, began in the mid-90’s when four old-car enthusiasts got together to socialize and go on cruises in their classic vehicles. The small group increased in number, and the members decided to make their group official. Thus the St. Augustine Cruisers were organized in 2001 to promote interest in various types of special auto activities, create good fellowship and sportsmanship among the members, and to support charities. The St. Augustine Cruisers is a 501(c)4 non-profit organization.

What We Do
|
Club Monthly Meeting:
Monthly meetings are on hold for right now, when it changes we will let you know. This is due to the pandemic. Club Officers do not want to see anyone get the virus from attending our meetings. They want everyone to be safe and healthy. When it is safe for us to meet as a group inside the restaurant our meetings will be held the first Monday of the month at the Village Inn on Ponce de Leon Boulevard in St Augustine, Florida from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Many people come early at 6:00 pm to enjoy the food and camaraderie. Requests are made at a regular basis on how to join the Club. The answer is to come to the meeting, meet us, introduce yourself and we will give you the details. Another way is to show up at our Cruise-in and do the same. Club Monthly Cruise-in: SAC hosts a Cruise-in the 3rd Saturday of the month every month except in December. December is a busy month for family gatherings because of the holidays so we will not have a cruise-in. Be there the other 11 months. AS OF NOVEMBER, 2020 the club is moving their cruisin to: CLASSIC CAR MUSEUM of ST AUGUSTINE on US#1 South (Dixie Hwy) (address is 4730 Dixie Hwy, St. Augustine, FL 32086) It will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with music, door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Cruise-in Directions: If you are going south on US#1 from the town of St. Augustine it is about a half mile south when you reach the US#1 & Wildwood Road intersection. It is on the left side of US#1. You will need to pass it and make a U-turn at the US#1 & Watson Road intersection and head north a short distance and it will be on the right side of US#1. If you are coming from the south at Rt#206 & US#1 intersection it is 3.2 miles north on US#1 about 4 minutes. It will be on the right side of US#1. Annual Car Show: The club sponsors an annual car show on the first Saturday of May at the beautiful grounds of the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, 207 N. San Marco Avenue, St Augustine, Florida. The Club raises money from this show and during the year to give a check at the end of the year to our charity, SAYS (St Augustine Youth Services). The SAYS (St Augustine Youth Services) at 6624 US#1, St Augustine, near our southeast public library, is a nonprofit organization providing food, shelter, care and therapeutic treatment to boys since 1989. It is a new home for a child traumatized of abuse and/or severe neglect. They provide a haven to live, learn, heal and grow in a safe, nonthreatening environment. It's an organization we have supported since they started in a home in downtown St. Augustine. See "Contact Us" if you want to make a comment, ask a question or ask how you can join our SAC Car Club (Club email: 2016.carclub@gmail.com) |
